Film Review

I am wondering if it all boils down to this: Adonai versus Lucifer – the dark Universe versus the Sun. The Universe is the mother – female – which gives birth to stars including our Sun – the male. The Universe is the Creator – Adonai – who creates the created – the Sun – Lucifer. Although we can choose to face and embody one dimorphic extreme, we can Love both – and be both. That is exactly what the hermaphroditic god represents: Siva, Zoroaster, Baphomet. IS = ISIS = FEMALE RA = SUNGOD = MALE EL = LORDJacob became a balanced sexually schismatic God – ISRAEL!This movie is amateur – but the plot is second to none if you can get past the home-made directing. Is is unabashedly Christian – which only bothers those who fear Christianity. I am Western, but not Christian. This movie is refreshing as it attempts – and more or less succeeds – at enacting Biblical Anti-Christ prophecy in a way no other movie I have ever seen comes even close. Why not let Christians have their say? What are you…

The Omega Code, as we are quickly informed, is some secret words hidden in the Torah which will unlock the prophecies that will bring about the end of the world as we know it and with it the Rapture. As it turns out, God being all knowing and all seeing, saw to it that these codes could only be unraveled by computer. Before the opening credits have finished rolling, there’s this guy named Rostenburg (Yehuda Efroni) sitting at his computer where he has just finished deciphering The Omega Code. Just before being eliminated by a bullet hole to the chest, he rips part of the code out of his book and hides it in his shirt pocket. The guy doing the killing turns out to be Dominic (Michael Ironside), who is prancing about in the most ridiculous Rabbi disguise straight out of the Halloween Costume Department of Wal-mart.After stealing the CD Rom which contains the computer program that unlocks the code, and not for one minute thinking to search the corpse, Dominic begins his escape where he is…

When I saw this movie title I thought it was going to be a great film, however, as a Christian, I can only say that I walked away disappointed and just frustrated with this film. The only thing Christian about it seems to be the subject matter–The Antichrist, and even then they don't rely on the Bible. I like the Left Behind and the Apocalypse films a lot better, they are a lot edgier and have a great concept with a conversion to Christ in the midst. I really do think that the Lalondes did a great job with their films and I hope that the Omega Code will be seen not as a Christian film, but a sliver of Christianity used to support the plot. I would really see it as that, although it did come from a Christian studio. I am hoping to write a film about the Rapture and I want to see it on TBN someday, but as far as the Omega Code, I think it is the butt of all Christian movies, although it seems to be far from it entirely.
